Real Salt Lake’s Moon Boy is an All-Star once again.
Diego Luna will join Lionel Messi, Chucky Lozano and Patrick Agyemang on the Major League Soccer All-Star team, the league announced Wednesday.
Luna, 21, is the first RSL player to make the MLS All-Star team in back-to-back years since goalkeeper Nick Rimando did it at a decade ago in 2014 and ’15.
Luna, who is currently playing for the United States’ Gold Cup team, leads Real Salt Lake with eight goals and four assists this season.
The MLS All-Stars will face the All-Stars from Mexico’s LIGA MX on July 23 (7 p.m. MT) at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The game will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
