It seems Gov. Spencer Cox has a new favorite word. In his monthly news conference he used some form of the word “dumb” seven times to describe both the Legislature’s new flag ban law as well as the flags Salt Lake City has come up with to flout it. “I’m sure they feel great that they got around this dumb law and they did it with dumb flags. The whole thing’s dumb,” he said.
Funny thing is, this whole “dumb” flag thing wouldn’t be a thing at all had Cox not let the “dumb” bill become law without his signature.
If it’s so dumb, why didn’t he just show some spine and veto it?
How’s that for dumb?
